New Years Resolutions/Goals

Let’s call them goals…  give them a date and a plan to get there…

Describe your resolutions in specific terms. Instead of "I don't want to be lazy," opt for "I want to exercise regularly" or "I will cut down on my television watching."

1. Be realistic by setting achievable goals. 
2. Be specific in describing your goal, and do so in the positive and as if you already have reached that goal.  “I have new clients call daily”, not “I want new clients calling daily”  see it now
3. Break down large goals into smaller ones. Bite size pieces.  If you want to lose 20 pounds… start with 5 in the first 30 days
4. Above all, aim for things that are truly important to you, not what you think you ought to do or what others expect of you.

Always talk to the positive.  Your mind is listening to you.  You can hear yourself in the positive just as easily as the negative.  Keep your thinking positive and believe it till you make it.
