Let’s add a few more items to the list of adventures and things to do here in Colorado.

Listen to Elk bugle.  In Autumn during the September-October rut, when males call out to and herd their ‘harems.” Rocky Mountain National Park is a great place to view this magnificent show of nature.

Board a Train.  Trains still hold a fascination for young and old.  Georgetown Loop narrow gauge line to Winter Park.  Durango & Silverton runs daily and then there is the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad in Antonito.

Raft the Arkansas River.  If you live for the adrenaline highs, the wildest water is in early May as the snow pack melts.  Or during the later months take a leisurely float trip.

National Western Stock Show. Check out the cowboys, and pay homage to the area ranchers and farmers who help make this state thrive.  A great time for learning and fun.

Festivals around Colorado. From Blues and Brews Festival in Telluride to the Estes Park Wool Mart to the ice Festival in Ouray.  Thousands of yearly festivals with a theme for everyone.

Garden of the Gods.  Take a picnic and a camera and enjoy some great rock formations.  The Canyon Lands just south of Grand Junction is another amazing place to wander among the rocks.

Adding to the list:  Ski Colorado, Hike or bike the Colorado Trail, Hike to a mountain lake, visit the plethora of museums.
